Bacchus is an antagonistic character in Gungnir. A former supporter of the Republic Faction, he betrayed his fellows to the imperials and caused the purge of the republicans. As a reward for his services, Bacchus was put in charge of Carozza Prison as a head executioner. A callous and sadistic man, he is only too happy with his new position.

After Carozza's fall, Bacchus loses his favor with the court and goes on the run. He spends the best part of two years keeping a low profile in rural Gargania, until he learns about the renewed Esperanza breaking Golgotha's defenses and marching towards Daltanica in force. He sees an opportunity to win back Emperor's favor and gathers like-minded opportunists to ambush the rebels.

Bacchus is the boss of Scene 07. He is a Lv 21 Brute.
